Bird film that cuts
window strikes
You know the sound: that awful thud that hurts the bird and your heart. We install Feather Friendly bird markers: small dots on the outside of the glass that birds read as a barrier, while you still see the view.
How it works
Birds see a wall.
You see the lake.
A bird will try to fly through any gap it thinks it fits. Feather Friendly puts small dots in rows about 2 inches apart, too close for a bird to try, so it reads the whole window as solid and turns away. You look through the dots to the view.
- Feather Friendly reports 95% fewer collisions at 2-inch spacing
- Tested and approved by the American Bird Conservancy
- Goes on the outside, so it works on glass that already has film inside
What you will see
What the dots
look like
The dots are small and spaced evenly. Up close you will notice them; from across the room your eye goes past them to the view.
- Small dots in neat rows, on the outside of the glass
- No curtains blocking the light
- No plastic hawks or hanging streamers
- Made to last outdoors on the glass
Who it's for
Cottages, homes & buildings that care
Waterfront & forest homes
Big glass near trees and water is where strikes happen most. One treatment protects the birds that make the place feel wild.
Commercial & municipal
Bird-friendly design standards are spreading across Ontario municipalities. Get compliant without redesigning your facade.
Glass railings & walkways
Railings and link bridges are notorious strike zones, and the easiest to treat.
Anyone tired of the thud
If you've ever cupped a stunned chickadee in your hands and hoped, this one's for you.
